Term 6
Kindess: How do I pass it forward?
"A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees", Amelia Earhart
"Try to be a rainbow in someone else's cloud", Maya Angleou
This term, we looked at how kindness can be passed on to others and the effect that this has on others but also ourselves. Kindness took the form of dance in EYFS and our May Pole dancing, expressive artwork in KS1, various different artists in LKS2 and the role of kindness in WW2 in UKS2.
We learnt from relevant stories in assemblies, both traditional and modern, on how kindness has been passed on from one person to the next.
We had a a visit from Maria Caulfeild MP where we put questions to her following up from our letter writing earlier in the year. Year 6 also took part in the traditional PATINA parade and an exciting PGL residential at Osmington Bay.
