Ringmer Primary and Nursery School
Dave Evans, Headteacher
Welcome to the website for Ringmer Primary and Nursery School. Our school is part of a growing and thriving village community and we admit children in the 2-11 age range. The school has been through a major rebuilding and refurbishment project in recent years. The junior classrooms and other areas of the school including the hall, have been substantially refurbished; we have introduced a new ‘food tech’ room where the children learn to cook in class time and after-school clubs; and the infant classrooms (for the Nursery, Reception and Years 1/2) have been completely rebuilt. The result is a modern, comfortable learning environment and we love it!
We believe that children learn best when they are happy and secure and feel that their achievements will be recognised. Our philosophy is epitomised by our motto, ‘Be the best that you can be!’ which reflects the key words in our vision statement: kindness, honesty, respect, commitment and achievement.
Ours is a happy, thriving and rapidly-improving school which I am very pleased to say, is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (November 2015). However we are not stopping there and our goal is to become a truly outstanding school.
If you’re looking for a school place in the current academic year (whether in our Nursery, Reception or another year group) please enquire through the school office. And if you’d like a tour of the school, please contact the school office to arrange this – I will be very happy to show you around.
