At the heart of our school are our learning principles—the values that drive everything we do.
Each principle is chosen to help our students grow, both academically and personally. Throughout the year, we spotlight different 'drivers' to help children connect their learning to the world around them.
These principles also inspire our teachers to look beyond the classroom, creating vibrant, real-world experiences that make learning unforgettable.
Our core principles provide the foundation for everything we teach. To bring our curriculum to life, we use Key Inquiry Questions to drive each topic. Because these questions are explored by everyone from EYFS to Year 6, they act as a golden thread that ties our learning together. This shared focus creates a wonderful opportunity for family conversation; no matter the age of your children, you can explore the same big ideas together at home. While every year group has its own specific curriculum, these questions ensure we are all moving forward as one learning community.
To bring our curriculum to life, we frame every topic with a 'Stunning Start' and a 'Fabulous Finish.' These memorable milestones bookend the learning journey, sparking immediate curiosity and celebrating hard work. To tie it all together, we hold Learning Journey Assemblies at the end of each topic. This is a special time where students from every year group share how they answered the 'Key Question.' We love welcoming parents into school for these celebrations to see first-hand the incredible knowledge our children have discovered.
