Term 3: China
A huge "thank you" to all the families who supported the Year 3 children with the Big Sing, in so many ways. They were fabulous!
Also, many thanks to our amazing Jo Fletcher for all her musical input and support.
Year 3 explored the autumnal setting, made shelters and then created living sculptures to photograph. They left them around the woodland area and playground, for others to find. Year 4 made wooden sculptures inspired by Viking craft and mythology, to complement their Viking study
Term 2: Vikings
Exciting visit from two "Vikings"!
We learned about their clothes and way of life, then we wrote our own information about the Vikings.
Fact and Fiction:
Fact: Vikings did not wear horns on their helmets, but Victorians added them on to make the "costumes" seem more exciting!
Term 1: The Romans
A busy Roman palace kitchen
- many slaves prepare a meal -
Our visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace was an opportunity for a lot of hands-on learning, about the day to day life of the Roman people and those they conquered.
