Weekly homework will be:

• 2 My Maths tasks. These will be set on a Thursday and checked by the following Wednesday.

• SATs revision programme begins during Term 3. If you weren't able to attend the information evening that I presented on the 15th January, please arrange to meet with me if you have any questions about this. The children will come home with their books, timetable and letter in Week 4.

• Three or four comments in the Reading Diary per week please - it would be brilliant if at least one of these is from a relative. In Y6 the expectation is that children read every day for pleasure and that they record their progress and thoughts about the book. We will be rewarding those who do this well. :)

Termly homework:

• There will also be more open-ended topic-related tasks set every few term. The children will be able to choose what they do, how they present it and when they bring it in. The deadlines will normally be between two and three weeks of setting so probably two each short term. *We will continue with these, even after SATs revision has started but it is optional. :)
